William Selvidge Moore, "Bill", took his wings on April 22, 2026, at his home in Sedona, Arizona.  He was a month shy of 79 years old. Born on May 18, 1947, in Cleveland, Ohio, son of William Henry Moore from Benoni, South Africa and Fanny Lou Moore from Birchwood, Tennessee.  Bill lived a full and meaningful life defined by love, hard work, and kindness.  He grew up in Westchester County, New York and was an avid golfer from an early age, learning to play with his mom and dad.  He played on the golf team in high school and proudly won the Junior Championships two years in a row.  Bill played the accordion in an accordion symphony conducted by the famous Cliff Scholl.  His family loved watching him play.  He attended the University of Arizona, where he earned his B.S. in Metallurgical Engineering. It was there, in the student union, that he met the love of his life, Ginnie. The two married on November 20, 1973, and shared 52 beautiful years together, building a life rich in devotion and partnership. Bill put his engineering mind and tireless work ethic to use in the foundry world. He followed in the footsteps of his father who was also in the foundry business (former president of Meehanite Worldwide).  Bill, alongside his brother Michael Moore, owned and operated Carolina Casting Corporation in South Carolina for 30 years. The success of the business was a testament to Bill and his brother's tenacity, reliability, and dedication.  In Beaufort, SC is where he raised his family and made life long friendships.  He taught his kids to fish, crab, and pick oysters at an early age off their backyard dock.  He was always laser focused on his kids and grandkids.  Eventually, he and Ginnie moved back to Arizona to retire in Flagstaff and Sedona and his children followed shortly after.  His close friends and family would say he was a kind and gentle soul.  Bill was the kind of man who showed up, every single time, for the people he loved. When he wasn't working on his many house projects, Bill could be found on the golf course, lost in a good book, enjoying music, hiking, or fishing and camping at Lake Powell. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family, especially his kids and grandkids, who brought him immeasurable joy.  Bill is survived by his beloved wife Ginnie Hazlehurst Moore, brother Michael Moore (Libby), son Travis Moore (Jen), and daughter Melanie Jones (Dave), grandkids Savannah and Emmy Lou Moore, and Grady and Benny Jones. A celebration of life will be held in Bill's honor, with the date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you remember Bill by doing something kind for someone.
