Willie Ivory
Murphy
Aug 31, 1943 — Jul 24, 2025
Willie Ivory Murphy, 81, a beloved figure of Flagstaff, Arizona, sadly left our world on July 24, 2025, after a life richly lived in service to his family/friends and kindness to all who knew him. Known for extending a kind helping hand to those in need, Willie was a beacon of light and hope in our community, touching lives through feeding those less fortune, giving gifts to those down-hearted, and even allowing a traveler along this road called life a temporary place to stay. Willie was known for his exceptional Creole-styled cooking ability, problem solving skills (legal prowess), cracking a "puppalatta" joke or prank, a warm smile/laugh, charming demeanor, being a fashion connoisseur, and a protector of women. Willie was preceded in death by his father Ernest Murphy, mother Morjorie Neeley Murphy, son, Mary (first wife), Peggy (wife), son Billy Von Eric Murphy, brothers- Ernest and Larry "Michael", and sisters-Aundrea and Vanessa. Willie was survived by his very special niece Nicole White, *son- William Murphy, daughter- Stacey Murphy, brothers- David, Martin, Ray, Christopher, and John; his sisters- Cecilia, Bridgett, and Tracy. Willie's mother bore 13 children. Willie was also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Willie's memory will be a guiding star for all who knew him.
