Willie Ruth Williams Flemons passed away July 9, 2009. She was born August 11, 1939 in Oxford, Louisiana. She was a homemaker, a free spirit, very generous, loved all people and spent her life serving God.

She is survived by her husband Lucky Flemons, her daughters: Janet Richie (Vincent) and Faye Owens of Flagstaff, Mary Tucker (Steve), Karen Owens, and Veronica Lester (Troy) of Phoenix, and Sharon Owens of Colorado; her son, Glen Owens of Colorado; her brothers: Ernest Thomas and Morgan Williams of Phoenix and Malik Abdulah of Los Angeles; as well as by many nephews, nieces and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother, Sea Willow Williams, her father, Courtney Washington, her brothers, David Owens, Robert McGraw, and Patsy Lee, and her sisters, Bessie Mae Garner and Phyllis Washington.

There will be a viewing on Monday, July 13, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Norvel Owens Mortuary Chapel in Flagstaff, Arizona. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at 11:00 am at Galilee Baptist Church in Williams, Arizona.
