Wilma "Faye" Willis, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was 89 years old. Faye lived a life defined by compassion, faith, devotion, and unwavering love for her family and community.

Faye was born to Tip and Gladys Suttle on February 8, 1937, in Noxapater, Mississippi. In 1955, Faye moved to Flagstaff, Arizona, with her family, where she soon met the love of her life, Ted Willis Sr. They were married in 1956 and shared 48 blessed years together, building a life rooted in faith, family, and service.

Faye was truly the matriarch of her large and loving family. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and togetherness, especially during the cherished Sunday family dinners she faithfully hosted for many years—a tradition lovingly passed down to her children and grandchildren. Family was the center of her world, and she made each person feel deeply loved, valued, and cared for.

Faye was a graduate of the first nursing class from Northern Arizona University, then known as Arizona State College at Flagstaff. She dedicated 35 years of compassionate service as a Pre-Op/PACU nurse at Flagstaff Medical Center. Nursing was not simply her profession—it was her calling. Through her kindness, strength, and servant's heart, she inspired many members of her extended family to follow in her footsteps and pursue careers in healthcare.

Even after retirement, Faye's desire to care for others never ceased. Through FaithWorks, she participated in numerous medical mission trips to Mexico, bringing healing, comfort, and hope to countless people. Her faith guided every aspect of her life, and she remained actively involved in her church communities throughout the years, faithfully serving wherever she was needed.

Faye was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ted Willis Sr.; her son, Ted Willis Jr.; her parents, Tip and Gladys Suttle; and her sisters, Juanita Bozarth, Joy Byers, and Laura Elizebeth Suttle. She is survived by her loving children: son Scott (Karen) Willis; daughters Cheryl (Bob) Kuhn and Cyndi (Mark) Thomas; 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.

Faye's legacy of love, compassion, faith, and family will live on for generations to come. She leaves behind a family strengthened by her example and countless lives touched by her caring spirit.

Services will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Norvel Owens Mortuary, Flagstaff, Arizona. Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., with graveside services immediately following.
